Fatemi Dawat Pinterest | Busaheba Poem

“Man can endure pain, Not the pain of Karbala.”

An English lament poem (marsiya) for Imam Husain AS, composed by Ummul Mumineen Busaheba Sakina Aaisaheba Ataala-llahu baqa’aha. Busaheba Sakina Aaisaheba is the beloved wife of Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA and served him with wholehearted devotion for over fifty years. She is beloved mother of our Dai-z-Zamaan, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS. Granddaughter of the 49th Dai, Syedna Muhammed Burhanuddin RA and daughter of Rasul Hudood Janab Syedi Ibrahim Bhaisaheb Zainuddin, she grew up in a house of nobility, bayt al-sharaf, and was nurtured in belief and worship, imaan and ibadat. Throughout her life, she has taken barakaat of ilm-e-Aale Mohammed SA from Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA, Syedna Muhammed Burhanuddin RA, Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA, and Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS. She is also trained in literature, having been among the first individuals in Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s family to attend school and college, where she obtained her BA degree in English Honors.

This is one of many deeply moving poems she has composed in praise of the Ahlul Bayt and their Dais. It eloquently expresses her deep love for Imam Husain and her immense grief for his martyrdom. We are pleased to present the poem on the Fatemi Dawat on the occasion of Imam Husain’s AS Chehlum, 1444H.
