Our Exemplars

In his 53 years as Dai, Syedna Taher Saifuddin built a legacy that will have an impact for centuries to come. His most lasting legacy is that he prepared his great successor, the 52nd Dai Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, but also his successor’s successor, the 53rd Dai Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS.

The 15th of Zilqada is the Urus of great 45th Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Tayyeb Zainuddin – Surat. On the occasion of Urus we are pleased to present this biographical article on Syedna Tayyeb Zainuddin RA.

In 1961 Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA dedicated Saifee Villa in Dandi to the Indian Government in the presence of PM Nehru. This was the historic villa where Gandhiji stayed in Dandi at the end of the Salt March in 1930

The man found Syedna Ali in the Mehraab reciting Qur’an. The man offensively said, “you are reciting the Qur’an while these armies march and converge on Kawkabaan?” Syedna Ali simply responded, “’awnullah” (Allah’s aid and yaari).

Ramadaan al-Mo’azzam ends with the Day of Eid-ul-Fitar, a day of joy and happiness. A day in which we celebrate the conclusion of the thirty days of fasting. The day in which we say ‘Allahu Akbar’ in the takbeera, as per the Qur’anic prescription, rejoicing in the guidance by which we recognized the holy month and completed the fasts.

Amirul Mumineen was then brought to his home. During the next two days, before his Ruh Mubarak (blessed soul) departed this world for the highest heavens on the 21st of Shehrullah, Amirul Mumineen SA spent his last hours giving advice and wise counsel to his family and the close companions gathered around him.

The 22nd of Shabaan is the Urus of Maulatuna Hurratul Malika Arwa binte Ahmad RA, the Hujjat of the Imam and the spiritual mother of the Du’aat Mutlaqeen

As believers, we receive the plentiful rehmat from the remembrance of the shahaadat of Imam Husain SA. Rasulullah SA has said that he who sheds a tear in the remembrance of Imam Husain will receive Jannat. Indeed that is bountiful rehmat. That is one portion of Allah’s rehmat. The remembrance of the sacrifice and shahaadat of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA is the second portion of rehmat.

The soul (nafs) survives even after it leaves the body (jism). Therefore, the body is only a temporary vessel through which the soul can prepare and achieve salvation.
