“Do you not see how Allah has set forth the example of the pure word like the pure tree, its root is firm, and its branches reaching the sky?”

(Surat Ibrahim: Ayat 24)

Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS began his fourth waaz sermon stating that the true manifestations of the words of Allah are his Awliya - they are the words of Allah. He countered the claim of those upon falsehood that nass may change, quoting verse 64 from Surat-e-Yunus, stating that Allah’s words - his Awliya - can never change.

Syedna TUS explained 7 facets of taweel meaning of the Qur’anic verse quoted in the beginning. He put forth rational arguments for the existence of taweel (symbolic meanings of the Qur’an), who the knowledge of taweel should be taken from, and its imperative importance in correctly understanding the Qur’an. He quoted numerous other Qur’anic verses on ‘Allah’s words’ elucidating the hidden meanings they encompass.

Syedna TUS mentioned modern technological advancements and expounded the true philosophy of advancement for a Mumin, explaining how Allah’s Awliya guide us toward angelic virtues. In keeping with the theme of ‘pure words’, Syedna TUS counseled Mumineen with 5 sayings of Rasulullah SA and Ameerul Mumineen AS.

Syedna TUS concluded his waaz with the narration of the shahaadat of Hurr AS, his acceptance of Husain Imam’s AS Dawat, and his sacrifice in Karbala. Syedna TUS then prayed the shahadat of Imam Husain AS, as the sound of ‘Ya Husain, Ya Husain’ echoed throughout.

Al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS will deliver the fourth Ashara Mubaraka waaz on 5th Muharram in Mazaar-e-Qutbi Complex at 10:30am India time (Sat 22 Jul). Syedna TUS graciously granted raza for the waaz to be relayed live worldwide on YouTube.
