The Unextinguishable Light of Allah: Syedna's Bayaan on the Urus of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ

'Their intention is to extinguish Allah’s Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).'

(Surat al-Saff: 8)

This article was written by Ra'sul Hududil Mayameen Janab Syedi Aziz Bhaisaheb Qutbuddin in 2014.

This ayat from the Qur’an was recited by Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS in the waaz mubarak on the auspicious occasion of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed Urus Mubarak. The moral of the heart wrenching shahaadat of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA is that the Noor of Allah Ta’ala – the Dai and his Dawat – will endure even though the enemies may wish to extinguish it. The purpose in the shahaadat of Syedna Qutbuddin RA was to extinguish the Noor of Allah Ta’ala but that Noor endured in Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed’s RA waaris and successor, Syedna Feer Khan Shuja’uddin RA.

Today Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed’s RA successor is the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS. Aqa Maula TUS affirmed at the end of the bayaan:

“Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA is alive today, his qaatil went to jahannam, and his successor lives on. The laqab of his successor is also Qutbuddin, Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA gave him that laqab, and he stated in his risaalat that I give Khuzaima the laqab Qutbuddin to give him the karaamat of the laqab of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA. This is the karaamat Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA has given me, and the Dai appointed by Syedna Burhanuddin RA, the 53rd Dai Khuzaima Qutbuddin is amongst you. And as Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA did, in the same manner, his ghulaam and his waaris is not afraid and does not hesitate in sacrificing his life for Da’wat (Maulana Qutbuddin Shaheed yeh amal kidu aej misal aaj ehna gulaam ehna waaris Dawat par maatha kataawa ne ghabraata nathi)."

In the bayaan Syedna TUS highlighted the parallel between the shahaadat of Imam Husain in Karbala and the shahaadat of his Dai Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA in Ahmedabad. Just as we remember Imam Husain SA in Aashura, so we remember Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA and pray his shahaadat on his Urus.

Syedna TUS also did zikar of the Hudood Fozolaa’ in the time of Syedna Da’ud bin Qutubshah who withstood all oppression and even torture for the khidmat of Da’wat. The khidmat of these Hudood contains ‘ibrat. Taking the wasila of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA, his successor the 53rd Dai prayed for Mumineen:

“Yeh Maula na wasila si Khuda hamari tamari mushkilo ne aasaan karjo, Khuda Ta’ala aa Dawat ul-haq ni hifaazat karjo, “wa man qotila mazluman faqad ja’alna le-waliyyehi sultana”… Khuda Ta’ala mumineen ne aabaad raakhe… Imam-uz-zaman na wasilaa si, Imam-uz-zaman ni dawat ma, Khuda Ta’ala, Imam-uz-zaman na Dai ehna ghulaam, Khuzaima Qutbuddin ne aa khidmat karwa ma nasre aziz ane fathe mubeen ataa karjo, “nasrun minal-llahe wa Fathun qareeb, wa bashsheril mumineen”.
