“My Soul is Sacrifice for Imam-uz-zaman” – Syedna Bayaan Excerpt from Aashura
07 November 2014
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
لَهُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ
'Haqq ni Da’wat is His.'
(Surat al-Ra’d: 14)
This article was written by Ra'sul Hududil Mayameen Janab Syedi Aziz Bhaisaheb Qutbuddin in 2014.
On the day of Aashura Imam Husain SA rode out to the assembled army with the Qur’an Majeed and placed the Quran Majeed on his forehead. He declared, “between me and you is the Book of Allah Ta’ala’ (bayni wa baynakum kitaab Allah).” Husain Imam continued to question the attacking army, “do you not know who I am, my grandfather is Rasulullah, my father is Ali and for me and my brother Rasulullah has said ‘Hasan and Husain are the leaders of the youth of jannat’.” This khutba by Imam Husain was the final argument against those who had forgotten Rasulullah, though they came under the banner of Islam.
This year, on the day of Aashura, after doing the tasbeeh of the names of the 21 Imams and 52 Dais as per the tradition of Da’wat, Syedna Qutbuddin TUS took the Qur’an Majeed in his hand and declared:
“The successor of the 51st Dai and 52nd Dai is amongst you, and on this day of Aashura, keeping Allah Ta’ala as my witness, keeping Imam Husain SA as my witness, and keeping Imam-uz-zaman SA as my witness, with the Qur’an Majeed in my hand – the Qur’an from which my bawajisaheb has prayed, that is with me, keeping that Qur’an in hand I declare to you that the 53rd Dai – the servant of Imam-uz-zaman – is Khuzaima Qutbuddin. The Nass of all the Dais, the Nass of the 51st Dai and the Nass of the 52nd Dai, has reached me, the 53rd Dai. The 51st Dai conferred Nass and the 52nd Dai conferred Nass on me. Today, I am the servant of Imam-uz-zaman, but you are the children of Da’wat and so today I am your father. Your father is concerned for his children day and night. He prays for his children day and night. May Allah Ta’ala keep you all safe and prosperous. May He keep you fulfilled and content in the Da’wat of Imam-uz-zaman. In these days of Imam Husain SA may He fill your arms and fulfill your wishes. And may Allah Ta’ala sacrifice my soul a thousand times for my Maula Imam-uz-zaman. “My soul is sacrifice for the Mawla of all men – in his remembrance my soul passes each day and night”…bismillah-ir-rahmaan-ir-rahim –lahu Da’watul Haqq, lahu Da’watul Haqq, lahu Da’watul Haqq, lahu Da’watul Haqq ."
In Bakersfield on Aashura Day (a few hours after Syedna’s bayaan due to time difference), Shz. Taher bhaisaheb narrated to mumineen Syedna’s declaration. Shz Taher bs said that at the end of Imam Husain’s SA khutba, the Imam stated that, “if you search the entire world with a lantern, you will not find a grandson of the Nabi other than Husain!” Shz Taher bhaisaheb said that when Syedna Qutbuddin was appointed as Mazoon on 17th Shabaan 1385, Syedna Burhanuddin RA stated that Syedna Qutbuddin’s name was most beloved to Syedna Taher Saifuddin (ahabbul asmaa’). Shz Taher Bhaisaheb further stated that, “if you search the entire world with a lantern, you will not find one whose name was most beloved to Syedna Taher Saifuddin other than Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin.”
Syedna Qutbuddin’s TUS focus in Ashara was on the bounties of the ‘ilm of Aale Muhammad, the remembrance of Imam Husain SA, and providing guidance for his followers, despite vehement verbal attacks. On the occasion of Syedna Hatim’s Urus, we remember that although he had to leave San’aa, Syedna Hatim established the Dawat in Hutaib and in the kehfun-naeem (cave of paradise) in Hutaib he nourished those who were with him with the ‘ilm and knowledge of Aale Muhammad. We also remember that Syedna Hatim’s enemy Ahwary said that, “far from having the characteristics of a Dai, Syedna Hatim does not even have the characteristics of a Mumin” –wal-iyaazu billah . Ahwary spread his falsehoods and – as outrageous as they were – many listened. Syedna Hatim was who he was – the Dai of Imam-uz-zaman – in spite of Ahwary and his false statements. Syedna Qutbuddin TUS is the waaris of Syedna Hatim: he is who he is – the 53rd Dai of Imam-uz-zaman – in spite of the false statements by detractors .
In his declaration (quoted above) Syedna’s conviction and strength is manifest. His fervor to serve the Imam’s Da’wat and his care for the children of his Da’wat – the Da’wat-ul-Haqq is apparent. His confidence in the veracity and truthfulness of his statement is self-evident.
