"Worship with Sincere Intention": Syedna Taher Fakhruddin's guidance to Mumineen in Sherullah

29 April 2021

“If you worship him (Allah) with free choice, with sincere intention and true recognition, you will attain abundant rewards whereas, worship without conviction brings no benefit.” Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS encouraged our community worldwide to uphold the spirit of sincere worship in Ramadan and embody, as the month demands, the best, the most humble, kind and generous of virtues. Addressing Mumineen a few days before the most barakati month of Ramadan, Syedna Fakhruddin advised them to ask about the well-being of their community members and counselled them to perform good deeds and give in charity.

Syedna Taher Fakhruddin has always guided our community to not only stay with the times but to be "ahead of the times". He has demonstrated this in how he has guided his community in the COVID 19 pandemic, by first and foremost taking the due precautions for the health and wellbeing of our community and of the whole of society and by being the best example of the sincere Islamic principles of goodness and striving for wellbeing of the whole of society.

The holy month of Ramadan is a time for all Muslims worldwide to gather with the most sincere intentions of good will and worship. Under the leadership of Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS our community has come together to honour the month of Ramadan this year. Through the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected countless communities worldwide, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin guided our community to keep the spirit of worship alive in our homes. He gave direction for all families to conduct namaaz and participate in daily zikr, virtual gatherings for prayer.

From his California residence, Syedna addresses the community every week in his illuminating “wisdom seminars”. The seminars are published in three languages: Gujarati, English and Arabic and are eagerly anticipated by Mumineen every weekend. Syedna is also in contact with Mumineen worldwide individually, granting community members across the globe live audiences online via video-conference. Syedna Taher Fakhruddin will also deliver a Waaz on 19th Ramadan, Amirul Mumineen Shahaadat, which will be broadcast live worldwide on YouTube for all Mumineen.

During these challenging times, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin has led our community in praying and working for the safety and health of all. Syedna and his family in the USA all received vaccinations last month, and Syedna also encouraged Mumineen to, for their own health as well as for the safety of the society, to take a vaccine as soon as possible. Syedna also advised our community to follow social-distancing guidelines.

Under the guidance of Syedna Fakhruddin, Syedi Mazoon Saab Abdeali Bhaisaheb Saifuddin Saheb AAB, leads daily zikr gatherings that Mumineen attend via live video-conference. During these daily virtual gatherings, Syedi Abdeali Bhaisaheb imparts priceless knowledge that enriches our souls and provides practical guidance on how to navigate these turbulent times with honour and grace.

The Fatemi Dawat website and the newly launched Namaz and Dua App have wide ranging content for sherullah, bihori namaaz and faazil raato which support Mumineen in worshiping Allah from the safety of their homes in the COVID 19 pandemic restrictions.

Amidst all the challenges, Mumineen are honouring Ramadan this year with peace and tranquility. With the guidance of our beloved Moula, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin, the community is safe and upholding the spirit of worship and generosity in Ramadan.
