The Ordeal After Aashura
We always remember the calamity of Aashura. There is no grief like it. There is no sorrow like it. Especially as we approach Imam Husain’s SA Chehlum, we also remember those who survived Karbala and the calamities that befell them. Click here to read further.
The Tragedy of Karbala - Solace for All Grief
Our lament for the martyrs of Karbala is unlike any other grief. Although innumerable tragedies and calamities have befallen since then, whether they are atrocities or natural disasters, at some point they are relegated to the annals of history. Not Karbala. Click here to read further.

Like prayer, fasting, and hajj, zakaat is one of the seven da’aim, or foundational pillars, of the Shari’at of Islam. Zakaat khuda no haqq chhe. For every Mumin, it is compulsory to offer zakaat once every year. Du’aat Kiraam have encouraged Mumineen to araz zakaat during the holy month of Ramadan, in order to gain abundant sawaab. For details on how to araz zakat, please click here.

O Syedna Ibrahim Wajihuddin, Your knowledge quenches the thirst of souls. – Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA
On 23rd Jamad ul-Akhir 1438H, Syedna Fakhruddin TUS delivered waaz on the auspicious occasion of the first Urus of Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA, for which Syedna had given the historic name “Naseemu Barakaatil-Ursil-Mubarak”. Syedna began with recounting Panjetan Paak SA, Aimmat Tahereen SA, Du’aat Mutlaqeen RA, and their waris, the 53rd Dai - Maulana Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA, the successor to all Duat and their virtues, in whom shone the noor of Maulana Taher Saifuddin RA & Maulana Burhanuddin RA.
Syedna expounded on the meaning of the word ‘Urus,’ quoting Syedna AbdeAli Saifuddin’s RA (43rd Dai) qasida in shaan of Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin RA (42nd Dai). Syedna recalled Syedna Qutbuddin’s wafaat and the events that transpired, how he maintained sabr at that time of the first shock. Syedna related that nass was performed on him on 27th Muharram al-Haram 1437H. A sign of a true Dai is one who has nass done on him and one who passes away after conferring nass. Syedna announced he would lay the foundation on Urus day for the Qubba Mubaraka, a roza in the land that would shine like a star for those in the heavens. Like the Quran shades the qabr of both Du’aat in Rozat Tahera, similarly, may the Quran shade the qabr of this Dai, Syedna Qutbuddin. Syedna advised Mumineen to do ziarat as they would do qadambosi of Syedna Qutbuddin, explaining Rasulullah’s hadith that, “those who come to my qabr after my death, is is as if they came to me during my life.” Awliyaa’ Kiraam are alive in their qabr, our doa are accepted with their wasila.
Syedna then explained the four facets (tawjeeh) of Surat Quraysh, taking barakat from Maulana Taher Saifuddin’s, Maulana Burhanuddin’s and Maulana Qutbuddin’s bayaan.
Syedna then did zikr of the seven Du’aat whose Urus is in this month: Syedna Dawood bin Qutub Shah RA (on the 15th), Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin RA (on the 18th), Syedna Ismail Badruddin Bawa RA (on the 23rd), Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA (also on the 23rd), Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA (on the 27th), Syedna Ahmed bin al-Mubarak RA (on the 28th) and Syedna Mohammed Badruddin RA (on the 29th).
Syedna returned to zikr of Syedna Qutbuddin, 11th son of Maulana Taher Saifuddin, who was in the shaan of Yusuf Nabi AS. He recounted Syedna Qutbuddin’s various khidmat during Maulana Taher Saifuddin’s era and how, for him, at that young age, Maulana Taher Saifuddin wrote that “you perform bayaan with tayeed of Imam-uz-Zaman,” similarly to how Yaqub Nabi AS saw the signs of tayeed in Yusuf Nabi AS. Syedna also recalled the immense khidmat Syedna Qutbuddin did of Syedna Burhanuddin, both in Maulana Taher Saifuddin’s era and when Maulana Burhanuddin became Dai. In Cairo, Syedna Qutbuddin did araz to Syedna Burhanuddin to construct Jame’ Anwar. Syedna Qutbuddin did khidmat of Sandoz House (Saifee Memorial Foundation) and many Mumineen took barakat from that. Syedna Qutbuddin gave security from fear (khawf si amaan aapo) – one who came to his hazrat was not worried, could araz as he desired. Maulana Taher Saifuddin would say in sabaq to Syedna Qutbuddin, pointing towards the door “even if one is standing there, even if so far away, I let him be, hopefully he comes near some day. The doors are open.” Dawat is for rehmat, to bring closer - unlike others, who create havoc in the community. Those who are interested in business and not Dawat.
Then Syedna spoke of himself, “today I am the Dai and I perform Dawat, I perform shukr on nemat, my tawakkul is on Allah Ta’ala.” Fear is from Allah Ta’ala, with what deeds we will meet Him, not of family or society. May it not be the case that due to fear, we lose jannat. The greatest example is that of shuhada of Karbala, we hear their zikar repeatedly and it emboldens us. Dawat is established and will remain so, until Imam-uz-Zaman does zuhoor.
Syedna referred to Amirul Mumineen’s kalaam “one who does not recognize his self-worth perishes (halak-amru’un lam ya’rif qadrahu).” Syedna related an incident between Maulana Taher Saifuddin and Syedna Qutbuddin. Some event had occurred, and Maulana Taher Saifuddin said with josh, “bija jeh keh te keh, apan je che te che” We are Mumin, we are on Haaq, that is the most important thing. Syedna advised Mumineen to remain courageous. If others attempt to scare you and you become scared, they are successful. If you remain courageous, they will run away.
Based on the four ayat of Surat Quraysh, Syedna prescribed four muwaizat kalaam from Amirul Mumineen.
Syedna also advised Mumineen to remain steadfast to Shariat and seven pillars of Islam. Syedna explained that a Mumin who is religious (deendar), is not just one that prays namaaz and does roza. Rather, he also always speaks the truth, wishes good for others, helps other Mumin, does good for all people. He should not be a hypocrite - says one thing and does another, wear the guise of religion but his actions are otherwise. Deendari is to act with truth and sincerity, keeping Allah Ta’ala in mind. Spend your life in bandagi, do shukr on Khuda Ta’ala’s nemat. As Syedna Qutbuddin taught, spend your life in shukr and you will always be content.
Syedna prayed hamd from Syedna Qutbuddin’s risala and beseeched immense doa for Mumineen. Syedna did doa for Mumineen’s Hereafter, may we do deedar of Syedna Qutbuddin in Jannat and see that noorani chehro again. Syedna ended the waaz on shahadat of Imam Husain SA, the leader of Quraysh, he who feeds the hungry and gives security from fear. Syedna advised that when a Mumin is in difficulty, remember Aqa Husain and recite his doa “Allahuma anta Siqati”, you will never be in fear. Syedna Qutbuddin would always advise to do tasbeeh of ya Husain (128 times), the nuskho Maulana Taher Saifuddin advised, Syedna advised Mumineen to do the same.
