Selections From Waaz 2 | "The Ship of Salvation"

When Rasulullah SA said that “the Imams in my progeny among you are like the ship of Nooh SA (safinat-Nooh),” it was to very clearly show that only one who believes in the Imams will attain najat (salvation) and have sanctuary of the ship –and he who turns away from this belief will drown. Syedna al-Mu’ayyad RA said that in the time of Nooh SA, Allah Ta’ala instructed the building of the ship because of the storm that was coming, and indeed that storm did come.
Clearly, Rasullulah SA’s hadith meant that in Rasulullah’s era, there would be storms also. Maulana Ali SA was the the ship of salvation (safinat al-najat) Rasulullah SA made for safety and sanctuary amidst the storms to come.
The Imams after him were the ship of salvation, and in their seclusion, the Dais are the ship of salvation for Mumineen. This safinat al-najat keeps Mumineen safe from the trials and tribulations of the world around us.
Syendna Taher Saifuddin RA was once approached by a Muslim scholar who said that all Muslims believe in Rasulullah SA and the Qur’an, but yet there are so many quarrels because of different interpretations – could we not agree on one interpretation? Syedna Taher Saifuddin responded to him that these differences are entrenched and age-old – it would be impossible to get agreement. The scholar asked, “Then what can be done?” Syedna Taher Saifuddin said to him, “Should not Rasulullah SA himself have shown the true interpretations?”
Mumineen were most fortunate to be addressed by Aqa Maula Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS who quoted Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA,
“There are many difficulties facing Dawat, but I am thankful to Allah Ta’ala - thankful that I get the reward of fighting against the enemies of Dawat. I toil night and day for your sake Mumineen, I do not say this to ask for anything in return, rather I say this because of my love for you all.”
Aqa Maula TUS, with the tayeed of Imam-uz-Zaman, explained the inner meaning of the Qur’anic ayat, “It was said O Nooh, be graced with Salam from Us, and Barakaat on you…” The Nooh of our era is Mohammed Rasulullah SA. Allah Ta’ala says to Mohammed SA that “you are graced with Salaam from Us.” Salaam refers to the Imams - because of them the Dawat is safe (in salaam), the knowledge of Dawat is safe, Mumineen are safe. Barakaat literally means to become “more,” it is also translated as “blessings.” Allah Ta’ala has granted Mohammed SA barakaat, which here refers to the Dais. It is because of the Dais that the barakaat of Panjetan and the Imams is ever-present, and flowing, in Dawat today.
Syedna Fakhruddin TUS bestowed invaluable gems of doa to Mumineen for duniya and deen.
Syedna TUS narrated the shahadat of Abbas Alamdar with such fervour, that the scene of Abbas with the water mashki, without hands, riding towards Imam Husain SA and the Ahle Bayt was right in front of our eyes, which overflowed with tears.
