These verses composed by Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA are called “wazifat-ush-shukr”–a daily offering of thanks to Allah Ta’ala and our Mawali Tahereen. They highlight the Mumin’s ideal daily religious tasks: zikr and tasbih of Mawali tahereen, knowledge of Aal-e-Mohammed, taqwa and piety. The wazifa also includes doa for our Dai-z-zamaan, followed by salawaat on Mohammed and Aal-e-Mohammed.
The verses are a selection from Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s qasida mubaraka "Banul mustafal ghurrul kiraamu al-ghatarifu."
Just as an individual is recognized by his name, Allah Ta’ala is recognized His true names the Imams. The tasbih of the names of the Imams is the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala.
The verses are recited on every occasion as a reaffirmation of our allegiance to the Imams and the Dai of our age. It is this allegiance and relation with the Imams and his Dai that distinguishes us, that assures our guidance and that leads to our salvation.
