Maulana Fakhruddin started the waaz on Ashura day at 11 AM. He addressed Mumineen as the ones who maintain walayat of Panjetan Paak, Aimmat Tahereen, each and every Imam until Tayyib Imam & Tayyib ul asr (Imam of our time) and Du’at Mutlaqeen. Maulana said “your religion is mohabbat, and that is what has pulled you here, to take the name of Imam Husain, and due to this mohabbat, we will obtain their shafa’at.” Sadiq Imam said, addressing his Shia three times, “wallahe lanashfa’anna” (we will do shafa’at for you). Imam Mansoor said to his Shia “if anyone is subjected to fire due to their sins, I will put this hand of mine and remove him.”
Maulana said that today (on Ashura) we spend all day remembering Imam Husain, forgetting the world.
A group of people visited Imam Husain in Medina when everyone was going to Yazid to give their bayah (misaq/pledge). Imam Husain asked, “why have you come to me and did not go to Yazid.” They answered that you are the true Imam and we are here to give you our pledge. Imam went in the room, prayed 2 raka’t and beseeched doa for them. He gave bisharat (glad tidings) that your deeds are accepted due to our walayat. Maulana said we are on haqq today (on the true path) due to the barakat of Imam Husain’s doa. Maulana beseeched doa that may Allah grant us strength to do matam on Ashura (“ashura na din ne zinda karwani yaari aape”).
Maulana explained how Rasulullah sacrificed his son, Ibrahim, on Husain Imam. One day, Jibrabeel came to Rasulullah and said that it is Allah’s command that you sacrifice one of them for the other. Rasulullah, hearing this, lowered his head and said “I sacrifice Ibrahim for Husain.”
Then Maulana did zikr of the seven di’amat (pillars) and the importance of each by connecting it to the zikr of Husain Imam: Walayat, Tahaarat, Salaat, Zakaat, Sawn, Hajj, and Jihad. Maulana explained the importance of understanding the zahir and tawil meaning of each di’amat and the importance of observing the zahir amal as well as understanding the deeper taawil meaning. For example Maulana explained the importance of performing wuzu before namaaz, without wuzu namaaz cannot be prayed. Maulana also explained that the ones who remember Imam Husain are the ones whose souls are truly pure (haqiqatan jaan paak thai) and the ones who perform matam are the ones whose bodies are truly pure. Maulana also emphasized the importance of khaki shifa, that it is paak mitti (pure earth). When explaining sawn, Maulana emphasized that fasting in Shehrullah is farizat (compulsory) and, if possible, one should also fast the 3 sunnat rozas every month and remember the hunger and thirst of Imam Husain. This way, one receives sawab as if he has fasted the whole year.
Maulana continued with zikr of Duat and explained their fadail in detail. Maulana emphasized that it is Allah Ta’ala’s wish whom he decides to send his message and prayed the Quranic ayat “Allah is most knowing of where He places His message.” (6:124). Maulana said that he is the waris (inheritor) of the Duat, the message.
Maulana did zikr of his nass (appointment) by Syedna Qutbuddin on 27th of Muharram. Maulana also did zikr that on that day, Syedna Qutbuddin compared the Mumineen who answered his qaul (daawat/call) after Syedna Burhanuddin passed away as the Muhajireen and the Ansaar during Rasulullah’s time “Rasulullah na zamaan ma hata (muhajireen ane ansaar). Dai na zamaan ma hoi to su ajab.”
Maulana remembered the time when he came to Darus Sakinawith janaza mubarak of Syedna Qutbuddin and said “har kali, gul ane mumin roya”. He gave bisharat (glad tidings) to Mumineen that we answered Syedna Qutbuddin and no doubt, he will hold our hands in jannat “tame Syenda Qutbuddin no daman pakro, yaqeen rakhjo, jannat ma haath pakarse.”
Maulana prayed hamd, salawaat and salaam on Imam Husain. Maulana prayed Husain Imam’s shahadat and along with that, did doa that may we get the honor of visiting the zarih of Imam Husain, may we get to pray namaaz in Masjid-e-Aqsa. May we receive the honor of ziyarat of the Duat of Yemen and Hind.
Maulana started maqtal bayaan at 4.30 PM. Matam of “Ya Husain” echoed from every corner of Darus Sakina. Mumineen were present in great numbers and were waiting for deedar of Husain na Dai. Maulana prayed heart rendering shahadat of all the Ashaab and Ahle Baytpresent with Imam Husain in Karbala. He also did zikr of the dire circumstances that Imam Ali Zainul Abideen was put through and said that he cried for 40 years after the shahadat of Imam Husain. Every time someone would bring food or water, he would not stop crying. Darus Sakinaechoed with cries of ya Husain and bayaan ended with purjosh matam.
