Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS delivered a moving waaz on 4th Muharram 1440H in Darus Sakina, Mumbai, in which he did zikar of the meanings of the Ayat in the Quran Majeed in which Ibrahim Nabi SA asks Allah Ta’ala to show him how He brings the dead to life.

Maulana began the waaz by addressing Mumineen as those who follow the tradition (millat) of Ibrahim Nabi SA, by answering the Dawat of his two sons, Nabi Mohammed SA and his Wasi Ameerul Mumineen SA. Rasulullah SA stated that “me and you, O’ Ali, we are the Dawat of our father Ibrahim.” We are truly the children of this Dawat, because in the progeny of our Nabi and Wasi, today, on this earth, an Imam – Imamuz-zamaan - exists.

Maulana explained the position of Du’at Mutlaqeen and explained that Du’at were appointed in the seclusion of the Imam.  Maulana did a unique bayaan from Syedna Qadi Noman’s RA Taweel-ud-Da’aim about the birds (parinda) of Madina which are described as being different from the birds of Makkah.  Maulana explained in detail the meaning of this bayaan

Maulana then recalled the riwayat of Rasulullah’s AS son Ibrahim, and how he sacrificed him on Husain Imam, who is the cause of our salvation (najaat). Such is the imtehaan that our Awliyaa Kiraam pass through.

Maulana did many zikr about the significance of Friday and prayed qasida abyaat explaining how the day of Friday is based on Rasulullah AS and Saturday on Amirul Mumineen AS, who is in qaimi shaan. Maulana remarked that there are very few things that all people throughout the world agree upon. One of those things is that a week has seven days. This was taught by the first Imam on Earth. Maulana instructed that one should pray extensive salawat on Mohammed Rasulullah SA and Aal-e Mohammed on Friday, as the Quran instructs us to and in the manner which Rasulullah SA directed, including Aal-e-Mohammed in the salawat. Maulana explained in detail the importance of salawat and the sawaab Mumineen garner from praying it. Maulana also explained other significances of the day Friday and four types of amal that apply on Friday.

Maulana continued with bayaan on Ibrahim Nabi SA, explaining how he did hujjat with the idol worshippers by dropping all their idols except the largest one. When they questioned who did this, he responded to ask the big idol. Our Hudaat perform hujjat with dushmano, as Musa Nabi AS did so against the Pharaoh’s people and Rasulullah SA did in his time as well. Similarly, Syedna Qutbuddin RA called upon people from the other side, right after the wafaat of Burhanuddin Aqa RA, to mubahalat (debate) even in public, but they refused to do so. Maulana TUS stated that he himself also sent a letter after Syedna Qutbuddin’s RA wafaat but they remained silent.

Maulanathen expounded on four chapters (fasl) regarding Ibrahim Nabi’s SA question to Allah Ta’ala, as narrated in the Quran Majeed, to show him how He brings the dead to life. Allah Ta’ala instructed him to place four birds, one on each mountain and then to call them and they would come walking back to him. Maulana explained the Ta’wil meaning of this Ayat in the context of Ibrahim Nabi SA, Sulayman Nabi AS and Tayyib Imam SA.

Maulana recounted many zikrs throughout the explanation of the four chapters. Maulana remembered Syedna Qutbuddin RA and the mojiza that occurred in Ujjain, when a child had fell and doctor at the time proclaimed him dead, but Syedna Qutbuddin RA prayed shifa on pani and instructed to give to the child, which brought him back to life. The everlasting life that Du’aat Mutlaqeen grant us is even more miraculous.

Maulana noted at the JNU Taqreeb conference that people of all religions agree than faith is a matter of heart, matter of free will in which there can be no coercion. If everyone accepted such a view, no disputes would remain. Mukhalifeen continue their pressure on the people, which they would not do so were they on haqq.

Maulana recalled his visits to Indore during Eid-ul-Fitr and Dubai during Eid-ul-Adha, where he performed neher of a camel. He also recalled his safar to JNU Taqreeb conference in Delhi, where the Dalai Lama and other religious leaders noted the importance of such gatherings that bring together people of different faiths. He noted the various khidmats done by the different committees in Dawat, especially the niyaaz in the mazaar of Syedna Qutbuddin’s RA roza which has been in operation for ten months and served 39,747 meals. He also noted that Faiz-e-Husaini organized trips to Karbala and Nafaj as he had instructed them to do so every year, and also enable Mumineen who are unable to afford the costs to do ziarat. He also did doa for the legal case and its expediency, and for Mumineen who perform khidmat in these matters, who stay by their Moula’s side, day or night. He bestowed priceless doa for Mumineen, for their provisions (rozi), marriage (shaadi), children (farzando), their education (taalim) and their hereafter (akherat).

Maulana ended the waaz praying a heart rending shahadat of Maulana Abbas Alamdar, Aqa Husain’s SA brother, whose two hands were cut down yet he persisted in carrying the water (mashki), so that he may be able to deliver it to Husain Imam’s haram. Alas, that was not to be! Maulana took the wasilo of Abbas Alamdar’s two hands and prayed: may we have strength in our hands to do Imam Husain’s SA maatam. May we have strength in our two hands to perform Dawat’s khidmat. Maulana ended the waaz on Husain Imam’s shaadat, and on his final sajdo, when he did doa for Duat, firishta personified, and the Mumineen who remain steadfast to them.
